DB Schenker Attains Certification On Good Distribution Practice For Medical Devices
(Singapore, 18 December 2008) Schenker Singapore (Pte) Ltd is the first 3rd-party logistics player (3PL) organisation in Singapore to attain the certification on Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices (GDPMDS). Prior to this, it is also the first 3PL in Singapore to be Good Distribution Practice (GDP) certified in the scope of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Medicinal Products.
The audit was conducted by an independent certification body and witnessed by senior officers from Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) and Health Sciences Authority (HSA). This certification acknowledges that Schenker Singapore (Pte) Ltd operates a good distribution practice for medical devices management system which has been assessed to conform to HSA TS-01: Good Distribution Practice For Medical Devices. The certificate is based on GDP Guidelines from HSA, referencing Global Harmonization Task Force, World Health Organisation, ASEAN, EU and US directives that ensure international standardisation and recognition.
